EPISTROPHY is a Marshall 22 catboat, built by Marshall Marine of So. Dartmouth, Mass. in 1981, a company still very much in business. She is of Fibreglas construction, L.O.A. 22′ 2″ L.W.L. 21’4″, BEAM:10’2″ and displacing 6000 lbs. Sail area: 388 sq. ft. She is equipped with a modern DSC-equipped ship-to-shore VHF radio, interfaced with the GPS. Auxiliary engine: Yanmar 2GM20F two-cylinder 18-hp. Diesel engine. All Coast-Guard required safety equipment is present and accounted for. She has a marine head (toilet) and functional galley with running (fresh) water.
